General IE is the step before rosin — hash that earned the right to skip the press. Whatever ran cleanest that week goes in the ice, and only the 73μ through 120μ screens are kept; everything coarser gets set aside for the rosin line. It freeze-dries under vacuum, never sees heat, and goes to the jar as it came off the screen. Unpressed is not a shortcut. It is the whole point.
No two jars match, and that is the deal. Terps follow whichever room hit peak that week, so one batch can read gassy and the next candy-sweet off the same screens. Color moves with the source material, blonde through light amber. Melt is the constant we hold: if a batch does not leave a clean bead on the banger it goes to the press line instead of the jar. Availability follows the wash schedule, not a calendar.
Cold quartz at 480–520°F, lid on. Full melt has nothing to burn off, so heat that suits a live badder will scorch the terps before the hash finishes melting. A rice-grain portion is enough; it expands as it goes. Cold spoon or a clean dab tool — warm fingers pack the crumble into a ball and it stops melting evenly. Keep the jar cold and sealed between sessions.
